Yumoto Electric is a premier custom-parts manufacturer specializing in high-precision components for aerospace and satellite technology. While the company has a long history of integrating international talent, their latest challenge involved sourcing highly-skilled professionals specifically for their US market expansion. By partnering with Daijob.com, they successfully moved past traditional recruitment bottlenecks to secure specialized technical talent with record speed.
Need for Specialized Engineers
• Yumoto Electric required high-skilled American talent capable of bridging the gap between Japanese operations and their upcoming U.S. market expansion.
• Traditional manufacturing media failed to attract candidates with the necessary global mindset and technical expertise.
Strategic Search & Niche Reach
• Proactive Strategy: Direct access to a specialized talent pool that other agencies deemed "too difficult" or "too niche" to source.
• Search Precision: Intuitive tools allowed for granular targeting of engineers with both technical processing skills and native-level English.
Rapid Technical Hires
• 3 Hires Made: Successfully secured three specialized manufacturing engineers within the first six months.
• Optimized Pipeline: A significant surge in both application volume and high-quality interview throughput.
Mami Tanabe from the Daijob.com Media Sales Division recently spoke with Yumoto Electric, a company that perfectly embodies the spirit of high-tech Japanese craftsmanship.
In this success story, we sat down with Ayumi Muramatsu (General Affairs) and Norimi Watanabe (Quality Control) to discuss the unique recruitment hurdles in the manufacturing sector, their strategic pivot toward global talent, and how Daijob.com helped them secure the specialized engineers needed for their next phase of growth.
Muramatsu: Unlike mass-production factories, Yumoto Electric is an "on-demand" boutique. Our clients come to us when they need exactly one unit of a high-precision part. Whether it’s plastic or metal, prototypes or satellite components, we specialize in high-mix, low-volume production.
One of our greatest strengths is our existing global culture. We’ve been hiring from Vietnam for over a decade, and today our floor is a vibrant mix of talent from Vietnam, China, Myanmar, and the United States. For a manufacturer in Osaka, we offer a uniquely international environment.
Watanabe: People often imagine factories as "old or dark," but we’ve completely challenged that stereotype. Our recently rebuilt headquarters features a modern, clean design surrounded by greenery. It’s an "un-factory-like" aesthetic designed specifically to attract a younger, more diverse generation of engineers.

Muramatsu: This transformation was a strategic move by our CEO. To stay relevant in a changing era and actively attract a younger, more diverse generation of engineers, he believes we must constantly evolve. That is why we have invested so heavily in our "visual identity"—from the architecture of our office to the design of our website. We want our physical and digital presence to reflect the innovative spirit of our work.
Mami Tanabe (Daijob): You began your partnership with Daijob.com in January 2025. What was the specific challenge that led you to us?
Muramatsu:The primary driver was our upcoming expansion into the United States. We were specifically looking for an American national who could spend an initial period working here in Japan to learn our systems and culture, with the long-term goal of leading our operations on the ground in the U.S.
Because the requirements were so specific, other recruitment agencies often told us it would be "too difficult" or "too niche" to find the right person. However, when we spoke with Daijob, the team provided a very proactive and confident strategy. Once the job was live, the response was far beyond our expectations—it was clear that Daijob was the only platform that could tap into that specific talent pool.

Tanabe: How has your recruitment pipeline changed since the implementation?
Muramatsu: The shift was immediate. The volume of applicants and the frequency of interviews increased significantly. In the manufacturing sector, technical roles are notoriously difficult to fill, but through Daijob, we successfully hired three specialized engineers in just half a year.
Watanabe: I honestly don't think we would have achieved these results through traditional manufacturing-focused media. The "manufacturing technology" role involves complex on-site processing, which is usually a hard sell for global talent. Daijob didn't just give us quantity; it gave us the right technical match.
Tanabe: You managed to close these three technical hires in a remarkably short window. What is the secret to your internal workflow?
Muramatsu: Our philosophy is simple: we never make a candidate wait. We make it a rule to respond to every application within 24 hours. From there, we aim to schedule interviews within a single week.
Watanabe: This speed is actually part of our company DNA. As a custom parts manufacturer, we pride ourselves on providing quotes to customers in 2 hours and shipping finished products in as little as 1 day. We simply applied that same high-velocity mindset to our recruitment. If we find great talent, we act immediately.
Muramatsu: We also streamline the decision-making process. We often provide feedback—and sometimes even a final offer—on the same day as the first interview, or the following day at the latest. By maintaining this momentum, we ensure that top talent doesn't move on to a competitor while waiting for an answer.
Tanabe: With more international members joining, how has the company culture evolved?
Muramatsu: Hiring American staff, in particular, highlighted some interesting cultural differences. For example, we received questions like, "Why does everyone eat lunch at the same time?" or "Why do the employees do the cleaning themselves?" These are standard practices in Japan, but to other international staff, they weren't the obvious norm.
Rather than dismissing these questions, our CEO and the rest of the leadership team take the time to discuss them openly. We are committed to a flexible evolution—preserving the strengths of Japanese manufacturing culture while adapting our rules to create a more inclusive and productive environment. We aren't afraid to change if it makes us a better global company.
Yumoto Electric is proof that even within the traditional Machikouba sector, a commitment to speed, cultural flexibility, and the right recruitment channel can yield extraordinary results. By moving away from general-purpose job boards and embracing a global-first platform, they successfully secured the specialized talent necessary for their U.S. expansion. It is inspiring to see a company with such a deep history evolving so rapidly.
Many companies in the manufacturing sector hesitate to go global, citing "niche technical requirements" or "limited HR resources" as insurmountable barriers. However, Yumoto Electric’s success proves that with the right strategic channel and hands-on support, finding the perfect technical match is not just possible—it is efficient.
At Daijob.com, we go beyond simple job postings. We provide Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and operational consulting designed to reduce the administrative burden on your team while maximizing your hiring precision.

The Future of Yumoto Electric: The New Global Smart Factory Rendering of the new headquarters and facility, designed to embody the company’s evolution from a traditional Machikouba (small-scale urban factory) into a modern global innovator. Completion scheduled for Spring 2026.
